Once mixture clears up or evens out in color put in mold. Mix until incorporated.Īdd corn syrup and potassium sorbate, then mix until combined.Īdd bloomed gelatin and Jello to pan and mix thoroughly but gently (silicon whisk is good for this) 5+min of mixing Put coconut oil, distilate, and lecithin in sauce pan on low heat. Put Jello, unflavored gelatin and water in bowl - set to side to "bloom" (111.5g Jello Box) 1 1/2 tablespoons of unflavored gelatin - 3 packs if using the box versions (85g Jello Box) 2 tablespoons of unflavored gelatin - 4 packs or 1 box if using the box versions Either simply push them together and seal with a layer of chocolate on the outside (we covered ours with crushed up candy canes) OR take the top shell and melt the edges by putting it on a frying pan on low heat and then assembleĮnjoy! We were so bummed we couldn’t try the Costco ones but it was super fun making themġ/2 teaspoon of sunflower lecithin (soy lecithin is fine also)ġ/4 teaspoon Potassium sorbate solution (solution is made 1 part potassium sorbate to 3 parts H2O) - This is a preservative if you don't use this it will mold unless you refrigerate them.
To close them, there are two methods you could use.Gently pop them out of the molds and fill one side with a hot chocolate packet (we used Hershey’s brand), marshmallows, whatever your heart desires! I think peanut butter chips would be good.Repeat with a 2nd layer and cool another 5 minutes Let the first layer cool in the fridge for 5 minutes.Make sure they’re covered all the way up to the very top edges! Using a spoon or paint brush (if you’re feeling fancy) cover the inside of the molds in chocolate.Melt chocolate (use melting chocolate discs or else it looks chalky with regular chocolate chips).

Thank you! We didn’t follow a recipe but here’s what we did (using everything in picture #3 of this post)
